For Adults and Their Families

Adults with I/DD want what everyone wants: independence, meaningful work, a comfortable home, fun activities, and good friends. The Arc of King County helps individuals get the support and services they need to live the life they want. We also help families navigate the adult service system, including future planning, to ensure their loved one has the support they need when the parents are no longer available.

The Arc of King County provides specialized services and activities in English, Spanish, and specifically for African American families. For other languages, we utilize interpreters.

Want to Connect with Other Families?

Our Parent to Parent (P2P) program believes that often the most valuable form of support comes from other parents who have traveled the road before you. We understand the emotions, myths, and realities of parenting an adult child with a disability. We don’t necessarily solve a family’s problem, but we are willing to listen and share our own experiences.  Check out more details about our Parent to Parent Program here.

Want to make the word a better place for people with disabilities?

Our advocacy program provides civic engagement support, classes, and issue education.
